Tina Carstens is an Accounting Clerk for the Town of Rangely, Colorado, a role she began in July 2019. Tina has more than twenty-five years of experience in accounting, having worked for Bank of the San Juans prior to accepting employment with the Town of Rangely.
Tina is a lifelong resident of Rangely. She graduated from Rangely High School as well as Colorado Northwestern Community College, earning a degree in Office Administration. She is married to Joe Carstens and they share a love for Rangely and all the outdoor activities available around town. Her favorite hobbies are exploring the wide open spaces surrounding Rangely on her side by side, boating, fishing, hunting and camping.
- Accounts Payable
Accounts payable is responsible for ensuring that the town's bills are paid accurately and on time. Duties include:
- Processing payments to vendors and other creditors.
- Maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Verifies financial data and invoice items.
- Prepares and distributes checks.
- Accounts payable invoices and maintains purchase orders.
- Accounts payable codes bills for payment.
- Prepares monthly sales tax reporting.
