Michael Dillon is the Supervisor for the Utilities Department for the Town of Rangely, Colorado, a role he began in January of 2023.   His full-time employment with the Town of Rangely began in 2012, working for the Gas Department. He transitioned to the Utilities in 2015.

Michael married his high school sweetheart, Katie, in 2013, and together they have three children: two boys, Connor and Carter, and one girl, Molly.

Born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Michael's family moved to Rangely in 2002. He graduated from Rangely High School and then attended Colorado Northwestern Community College, where he earned an Associates of Art degree.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and indulging in outdoor recreation. He is particularly passionate about coaching youth wrestling, as well as hunting and fishing.

Emily Templeton is the Supervisor and Operator in Responsible Charge of the Town of Rangely’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. She grew up in Rangely where she participated in 4-H and FFA from age 8-18. She attended college at the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. 

Her employment with the town began with a focus in sample collection and analysis which led to the development of the town’s water treatment plant lab into a State certified lab for Microbiological analyses of E. coli and Total Coliform. Emily has attained an A level license in water treatment and a C level license in Wastewater treatment. 

In addition to her work for the town, she is also employed at Cedar Ridges Golf Course, Gio’s Family Dining, and is a member of the Rangely Fire Department. She is married to Caleb Templeton, and enjoys hunting, time at the lake and in the hills, and caring for her animals and her home. She loves Rangely for the beauty of the high desert, the people that live here and the sense of community we share.
