Department of Public Works
The Department of Public Works provides services that touch the community every day, services that improve the quality of life for the people who live and work in Rangely.
Public Works is responsible for the following:
Street Maintenance:
Street patching and repair
Minor asphalt overlays
Asphalt milling
Alley and road shoulder maintenance
Roadside mowing and weed spraying
Major support for Street Resurfacing Projects
Winter Roadway Maintenance:
Snow plowing of roads
Applying de-icing and anti-icing chemicals
Load and haul snow/ice from the downtown district and other confined areas
Clear designated sidewalks
During off hours and weekends, crews are dispatched upon notification from the Police Department when street conditions warrant service.
