The Town of Rangely budgets on an annual basis, the fiscal year is from January 1 to December 31. The initial budget is drafted by staff and then submitted to the Town Council for review. The Council then holds several workshops to review salaries, benefits, and proposed expenditures. The Budget and Certification of the Mill Levy are finalized no later than December 10 and submitted to DOLA and Rio Blanco County respectively.
Records of the Town's income and expenditures are disclosed monthly in the Town's Board Packets.
