Officer Clinton Kilduff was born and raised in Meeker, Colorado. He graduated from Meeker High School in 2009 and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Northern Colorado in 2013. He began his law enforcement career that fall as a Detentions Deputy with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.
In January 2015, Officer Kilduff relocated his wife and young family back to Meeker and joined the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, serving six years in roles including Detentions Deputy, Detentions Sergeant, and Patrol Deputy. He completed the POST Academy at Western Colorado Community College in Grand Junction in fall 2018. In 2019, he transitioned to Patrol Deputy on the west end of the county and moved his family to Rangely. His specialized training during this period included Field Training Officer certification, Crisis Intervention, and Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement.
While serving as a patrol deputy—and assisting with the Rangely High School baseball team—Officer Kilduff was recruited to teach Agriculture at Rangely Jr./Sr. High School for the 2021–22 school year, where he led the Future Farmers of America chapter and coached middle school boys’ and girls’ basketball. He returned to law enforcement in August 2022, joining the Rangely Police Department.
Officer Kilduff is married with three young children active in the Rangely School District. He currently serves as the School Resource Officer, Taser Instructor, and Field Training Officer for the department, and he remains committed to coaching youth sports as an assistant.
