A lifelong Colorado native, Joe grew up in Evergreen and developed a strong connection to the Western Slope through regular hunting trips with his father in Rio Blanco County. He comes from a proud family tradition of service in law enforcement—his mother, father, and aunt all dedicated their careers to the profession, instilling in him a deep commitment to integrity, community, and public safety.

With 24 years of distinguished experience in law enforcement, Joe brings a well-rounded perspective: approximately 10 years serving in rural communities and 14 years in the Denver metropolitan area. Over time, his passion has centered on educating and training fellow officers, promoting ethical leadership, and upholding the highest professional standards in policing.

In his free time, Joe enjoys exploring new places, embracing lifelong learning, and pursuing his unique hobby of collecting police shoulder patches from departments across the country—a testament to his appreciation for the brotherhood and history of law enforcement nationwide.

Joe is excited to bring his expertise, rural roots, and dedication back to Northwest Colorado, where he feels right at home.
