Katelyn Fricke serves as a Community Service Officer for the Town of Rangely, Colorado.  She plays a key role in promoting animal welfare and community safety.

A proud 2012 graduate of Rangely High School, Katelyn's dedication to animals began early. As a young volunteer at the Rangely Animal Shelter, she cared for pets and helped them find loving homes. She deepened her expertise by earning a degree from the Animal Behavior Institute in 2015, with a focus on canine behavior, training, and nutrition. Katelyn then applied her skills as a professional dog trainer and as the owner of a local grooming business in Rangely for four years. Seeking to expand her impact, she transitioned into her current role, where she continues to make a meaningful difference in animal welfare across the community.

In her free time, Katelyn embraces the outdoor lifestyle that makes Rangely special—exploring the Rangely OHV Trails, hiking, and spending quality time with her family and dogs. She treasures being part of such a tight-knit community.
