Officer RaeLynn Norman began her career with the Rangely Police Department in April 2024 as a Dispatcher, where she provided critical support in communications and emergency response. In January 2025, she transitioned to Patrol, bringing her skills and dedication to frontline community protection.  She attended the Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) Park Ranger Law Enforcement Academy (often referred to as the Ranger program), where she graduated at the top of her class. Following this achievement, she earned her POST Certification and officially began serving as a Patrol Officer for the Rangely Police Department.

Prior to joining the Rangely PD, Officer Norman served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Marine Corps on active duty for four years, with assignments at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Japan and Camp Pendleton in California. She continues to serve proudly in the Marine Corps Reserves out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A native of Rangely, Officer Norman is a 2019 graduate of Rangely Jr./Sr. High School. She is thrilled to be back home, giving back to the community she grew up in and helping keep Rangely safe for all residents and visitors.  Her commitment to service, combined with her local roots and extensive training, makes her a valued member of the Rangely Police Department team.
