Pursuant to the authority conferred by the Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended, a Planning and Zoning Commission was created for the Town of Rangely. The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven (7) members who are appointed by the Board of Trustees. Terms shall be four (4) years and staggered with four (4) expiring May 1st following the next municipal election. All members of the Planning and Zoning Commission must be bona fide residents of the Town of Rangely. Should any member cease to reside in the Town, his/her membership shall be immediately terminated. No member of the Commission shall hold any municipal office of profit.
The Commission will elect a Chairman, and other officers the Commission deems advisable, from among its members. The terms of such officers shall be for one year and shall expire May 1st of each year.
